２月の携帯出荷40％減、８カ月連続で前年割れ
「電子情報技術産業協会（ＪＥＩＴＡ）が8日発表した2月の携帯電話・ＰＨＳ端末のメーカー出荷台数は、前年同月比40.6％減の300万2000台となった。前年割れは８カ月連続。年間で最大の書き入れ時となる春商戦が始まり、２カ月ぶりに300万台を超えたが依然として水準は低い。昨年４月から２月までの累計では3295万1000台と、前年同期比29.7％の減少。」

Three Android Smartphones Coming From Samsung
「Samsung has confirmed plans to release Android phones, according to a recent story in Forbes. Dr. Won-Pyo Hong, executive vice president of global product strategy in the mobile communications division, told the magazine during the recent CTIA trade show in Las Vegas that the company will release several handsets using the Google-backed, open-source operating system. The first of the devices will be launched in June outside the U.S. Hong confirmed that two other Android devices will be released in the U.S. during the second half of 2009. 」
